Notes on the PMC NIHPA Journal List CSV file
This CSV file is a list of journals that have deposited articles in PMC for the year 2008 or later years,
under an NIHPA‐qualifying agreement – that is, a PMC Full Participation or NIH Portfolio agreement that
makes the final published version of all NIH‐funded articles publicly available in PMC no later than 12
months after publication. See http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/about/pubinfo.html#pmcagree for an
explanation of PMC participation models. (NIHPA refers to the NIH Public Access policy, http://publicaccess.nih.gov/.)
The Start date for a journal (which may be earlier than 2008) is the publication date of the earliest
articles it has deposited in PMC under one of these agreements. If a journal no longer has an active Full
Participation or NIH Portfolio agreement with PMC, the End date is the publication date of the last
articles that it deposited under one of these agreements. The end date is blank for a journal that is still
depositing its articles under a qualifying Full Participation or NIH Portfolio agreement.
For each journal, the list contains:
- Journal title
- NLM TA: the NLM journal title abbreviation, as used in PubMed citations.
- pISSN: the ISSN for the print version of the journal (if applicable).
- eISSN: the ISSN for the electronic version of the journal (if applicable).
- Start date: publication date of the earliest articles deposited in PMC under a qualifying agreement, displayed in YYYY, YYYY/MM, or YYYY/MM/DD format.
- End date: publication date of the latest articles deposited in PMC before the journal stopped participating in PMC under a qualifying agreement, displayed in YYYY, YYYY/MM, or YYYY/MM/DD format. A blank date indicates the journal is still submitting content.
